Top 5: Bikers for the Arts destination run

The San Benito County Arts Council is inviting residents to come out to Bolado Park for the “Bikers for the Arts” destination run noon to 5 p.m. Saturday. It is sponsored by the San Benito County Arts Council, Monterey Bay Confederation of Clubs and the Top Hatters Motorcycle Club.
Jovenes yard sale
Jovenes de Antano is holding a hard sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hollister Community Center, 300 West St. The organization is selling spaces for $25 each. Call (831) 637-9275 to reserve a space. They are seeking donations as well. It is a fundraiser and all proceeds go toward senior programs in the county.

Recycling fundraiser for Haiti orphanage trip
A recycling fundraiser is being held for a Haiti Orphanage Trip. It is set for 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the Target parking lot on Airline Highway. Items to bring for recycling include cardboard (clean, no wax), metal (appliances, bikes, tire rims, patio furniture, etc.), and e-waste of all consumer electronics. Details: (831) 635-0300
Master Gardeners’ tour
Artful Expressions is the 16th annual tour hosted by the Monterey Bay Master Gardeners. It is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Colton Hall in Monterey. It is a self-guided tour of local landscapes mostly designed, created and maintained by their owners. Residents can see the art integrated into the landscapes and learn a lot more about the displays. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at mbmg.org/participate/masters-garden-tour. They’re available the day of the tour for $25 at all participating gardens. SBHS football game
The San Benito High School Haybalers football team has its home opener scheduled for Friday. It is set for 7:30 p.m. at Andy Hardin Stadium against Los Gatos. The Balers will try to go to 2-1 in their non-league schedule.
