SBHS

The Teachers Association of San Benito High School would like to add our voice to support for Measure G on the ballot in June.
We feel this bond is essential to bring our school facilities up to modern standards. We need state of the art classrooms so that we give our students a chance to compete with students from other schools in our area and the state. We can’t get the best out of our students when they sit in overheated, stuffy, unhealthy environments, lacking in the most basic necessities and technology. These aged buildings are expensive to maintain and to bring into compliance with ever changing safety standards.
Teachers are one of the most important elements of your child’s education. We need to update our facilities to be able to attract and retain the best teachers and to give them the technology to prepare our students to be successful when they leave SBHS to go to higher education institutions.
We urge you to help us help the youth of our community by offering them the opportunity to develop to their highest potential. Whether it is a four-year university or modern vocational training, our students deserve to have the greatest range of personal options possible when they graduate from SBHS.
Please join us in asking friends, family and neighbors for support. If you are familiar with the state of the facilities, write a letter in support. Place a sign in your yard and ask your neighbors to put one in theirs. Talk to everyone you can about the outdated classrooms. Make a donation to the Measure G “Go Balers” fund or request to have signs delivered to you by contacting Roger Curtis at 831-801-6861 or [email protected] or Katherine Foster, SBHSTA President at 831-750-2375 or [email protected].
