Pinnacles to reinstate climbing advisories to protect birds

The Center for Biological Diversity argues the oil project could have impacts on the endangered condor.

Pinnacles National Park will reinstate annual climbing restrictions starting Jan. 20 to protect nesting raptors, according to a statement from the park.
Specified locations will alert visitors to sensitive areas, while Pinnacles advised people to refrain from off-trail hiking and climbing in those parts of the park. To see more on those areas, go to nps.gov/pinn or call (831) 389-4486.
