While motorcycle aficionados are likely looking forward to the return of the Hollister Motorcycle Rally this weekend, local nonprofits are also excited about what the revived event means for them.

Top 5: Indian Market in San Juan, final weekend of play...

California Indian Market: The 29th annual California Indian Market in San Juan Bautista is set for May 4 and May 5 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days. The market, to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and to honor troops and veterans, will take place at the San Juan School soccer lot at The Alameda and Highway 156. Featured themes include "Native American, Western, wildlife arts and crafts vendors, drums, dancers and food," according to a market announcement. Get a preview of Open Studios

The San Benito County Arts council will open the 2013 Open Studios Preview Exhibition May 3, from 5 to 8 p.m. with an opening reception to coincide with the first Friday of the month at the Blak Sage Gallery, 727 San Benito St. The exhibition will feature the artwork of more than 29 local artists and artisans, many whom will open up their studios on June 1 and 2 so visitors can get a glimpse of them in their workspace.

Top 5: Pancake breakfast, art event and more

4-H Pancake breakfast: San Benito County 4-H will host a pancake breakfast April 21, from 7 a.m. to noon at Bolado Park. The meal is $5 per person and includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, potatoes, milk and juice. The annual breakfast is hosted by all the 4-H groups in the county and will benefit programs. ART 105 show open through April: San Benito High School students will have artwork on display at the Blak Sage Gallery through April 21, at 727 San Benito St. The gallery is open Wednesday and Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, from noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday, from noon to 5 p.m., and April 14 and 21, from noon to 5 p.m. An artists’ reception will be held April 13, from 3 to 6 p.m., with music and light refreshments.
