A 28-year-old Hollister man died in an accident Sunday on Highway 101 north of East Dunne Avenue, and the California Highway Patrol suspects alcohol was a factor.
The Hollister Police Department and the California Highway Patrol conducted a DUI/Driver license checkpoint Sept. 1, on San Felipe Road at Gateway Drive. The operation led to the arrest of two individuals for DUI, one warrant arrest and 22 citations.
Officers from the Hollister Police Department will be conducting a DUI and driver’s license checkpoint on Sept. 1 at an undisclosed location within the city limits between the hours of 7p.m. and 2:30 a.m.
On Monday, the trial for James Francis Lee who is charged with driving under the influence and manslaughter in the death of a 4-year-old boy was delayed again - now until June 25. It's the third time his trial has been delayed.
