Local slow-growth advocates and environmentalists chalked up a win in the Nov. 3 San Benito County election as Measure N—which would create the Strada Verde Specific Plan—appears headed for a resounding defeat.
The developer of the 2,777-acre Strada Verde Specific Plan commercial development proposal has earmarked nearly $900,000 to promote a “Yes” vote on the Nov. 3 ballot measure that would allow the project to move forward.
These lies are nothing new from Measure N’s opponents, who have a long track record of spreading fear and inaccurate information to keep San Benito County from making meaningful progress.
