Emmaus House has an opening for the position of executive director. Resumes are currently being accepted as it prepares for the transition to a new executive director, when the current director, Mary Lou Coffelt, retires.

Coffelt has worked to further the mission of Emmaus House since before it opened its doors in October 2006, and has energetically brought her passion for the women and children who struggle to escape domestic violence as executive director for the past two and a half years.

She will be leaving the organization on solid footing and returning to her family business and enjoying her husband and two children.

“It has been an honor and a privilege to represent such an important and effective organization,” Coffelt said. “I am grateful to the community for its generous and ongoing support. Emmaus House and the women and children that we serve, will always hold a special place in my heart.”

She will remain with Emmaus House until Jan. 31 while the board of directors recruits a new executive director.
