The City of Hollister is applying for grant funds with the hope of using them toward a trail project at Vista Park Hill.
The city’s parks and recreation master plan identifies improvements to Park Hill that would make it more family friendly and include a trail. The California Department of Parks & Recreation is offering the grant opportunities with up to $240,000 in funding toward trail projects, according to a council agenda report.
The council is considering whether to approve the grant application at Tuesday’s regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. at Hollister City Hall, 375 Fifth St.
