Leadership San Benito County is proud to present the 31 members of the Class of 2005. Participants of Leadership San Benito will go through an intensive 11-month program designed to provide greater community awareness, strong skills and increased personal relationships with other leaders who serve the community.

The mission of Leadership San Benito County is to build a stronger community by cultivating a diverse group of new and existing leaders who will effectively serve, unify and benefit San Benito County residents.

Will Sutton, Leadership San Benito County Board President, said he is very enthusiastic about the individuals who are participating in this inaugural class.

“I am encouraged to see so many current and emerging leaders who wish to make a positive difference in our community,” he said. “Each of these 31 members of the class has made a commitment to actively use their leadership skills for the benefit of all community members.”

Mary Damm, Vice President of the Leadership Board noted that, “a community leader is knowledgeable about the community and is committed to making a positive difference – a person who earns trust by respecting others concerns and experiences, honoring the past, finding unity in the present and giving hope for the future.”
