Ramon Portales Jr. died on Sept. 20, 2002 at Hazel Hawkins Hospital in Hollister. He was 48.
A native of McAllen, Tex., Mr. Portales moved to Hollister in 1988. He worked as a diesel mechanic for Denice and Felice Packing Co. in Hollister.
Mr. Portales is survived by wife, Micaela Chapa Portales of Hollister, children, Lconora, Ramon III and Christina Portales all of Hollister. He is also survived by three grandchildren, his siblings Irma Lopez, Juanita P. Hinojosa and Rosalinda Pena, all of Texas, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ramon Sr. and Leonora Portales.
A rosary service was held on Sunday at the Chapel of Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. Burial will be at McAllen, Texas.
