He passed away in peace at home, after a short bout with illness.

Roy lived a long and fruitful life in San Rafael, Gilroy, San Francisco, Marin City, San Anselmo, Willits, Rohnert Park, Fremont, back to Gilroy and then finally in Santa Rosa to be near his four children.

Roy was married to Phyllis Eileen Williams Dale for 48 years. Their four children are Michael, Keith, Elizabeth and Judith, and he was very proud of his daughter-in-law Pamela. His grandchildren are Quinton, Travis and Christie and there are three great-grandchildren: Ashton, Myra and Wyatt.

He is also survived by his brother Don and sister-in-law Mary, sister-in-law Joann, sister-in-law JoAnne and her husband Eugene, and sister-in-law Ranella. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins

Roy’s professional life was as an embalmer and was well known for his skills. His 15 minutes of fame came performing services on Al Jolson and William Randolph Hearst.

Roy was a life member of the Masons in Gilroy, Willits and Santa Rosa, serving as Master five times. He was also involved in the Eastern Star.

Obviously he will be missed by a vast number of family and friends.
