Grandma Chole will be missed. Her smile and laugh will not be forgotten.

Soledad Vargas Sanchez passed away in Hollister at the age of 89. She was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico and came to the United States in 1954 and Hollister in 1955.

 She worked at the local cannery for over 20 years and was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She is survived by her sons, Mario Sanchez (Sylvia) of Hollister, Louie Sanchez of Oahu, Robert Sanchez of Salinas, Javier Sanchez of Hollister, her brother and sister, Francisco Vargas of Hollister and Sara Hernandez of Mexico City, her grandchildren, Mario Sanchez of San Jose, Jackie Sanchez of Sydney, Michelle Sanchez of Watsonville, Joseph Sanchez of Hollister, and Casey Sanchez of Oahu, and her three great-grandchildren, Angelica, Albert and Vanessa.

 She is preceded in death by her husband, Mariano J. Sanchez, her son Willie Sanchez, her father and mother Refugio and Placida Lozano Vargas, her sisters, Guadalupe Vargas and Theresa Sanchez.
