Toys collected at the 12 Days of Giving launch at the Lights On Celebration in 2012 was split between CASA of San Benito, Chamberlain's Children Center and Emmaus house.

The holidays are nearly upon us, and what better time to help individuals, children, and families in need? The annual 12 Days of Giving campaign, set to kick off on Nov. 12th and conclude on Nov. 29th, is matching your monetary donations, making this the perfect opportunity to maximize your giving while helping San Benito County residents this holiday season.

Participating nonprofits include CASA of San Benito County, Chamberlain’s Children Center, Community Food Bank, Emmaus House, and Salvation Army.

For CASA of San Benito County, the 12 Days of Giving couldn’t come at a better time; funds raised through the campaign have been immensely beneficial to CASA’s Holiday Project. Through the Holiday Project, CASA provides gifts and essential-needs items such as winter coats and shoes to an often overlooked demographic in our community: foster children.

Most foster children from San Benito County will not be home to celebrate the holidays with their families. By providing them with gifts, clothing, and shoes to open, CASA is providing these children with hope and tradition.

CASA is grateful for the generosity of the community, business, organizations and individuals for making the 12 Days of Giving possible, and the CASA Holiday Project successful. However, in order to ensure this year is successful, we still need your support.

To make a contribution to CASA’s Holiday Project through the 12 Days of Giving campaign, checks can be made directly to CASA between Nov. 12 and Nov. 29, with 12 Days of Giving in the memo to ensure your contribution is matched. If you prefer to give online, you may do so here; please be sure to include “CASA” in the purpose/designation field.

We greatly appreciate your consideration in helping us to make the holidays brighter for foster children in need. If you are interested in assisting CASA with the Holiday Project or would like additional information, please contact us at (831) 637-4992, email [email protected], or visit our website at www.casasanbenito.org.

Matching funds for the 12 Days of Giving are made possible by our community partners, Community Foundation for San Benito County and United Way of San Benito County, as well as campaign sponsors including Tiffany Motor Company, True Leaf Farms, Pierce Real Estate, Teknova, Rotary Club of Hollister, Recology, and Grocery Outlet.
