Anzar celebrates a point scored against Gilroy during their match Wednesday.

The Hawks improved to 10-1 Tuesday with a 3-0 victory over Soledad in the first Mission Trial Athletic League match of the year.

The Hawks dominated winning 25-15, 25-15, 25-7 for the easy victory. Anzar has now won seven-consecutive matches dating back to a tournament-opening loss to Watsonville.

On Tuesday, Anzar controlled the match from the beginning, getting 10 kills from Delaney McKinney and 17 assists from Monica Medina. Libero Mali Gonzales finished with 17 digs and six aces in the victory.

The Hawks host Santa Catalina School at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
