Here are some things to do in San Benito County this weekend.

1.) Pinnacles September speaker series: Join Park Ranger Jennifer, of Pinnacles National Monument, as she explores the many challenges that snakes face in their bid for survival. In this 30-60 minute fun-filled discussion, visitors will learn about some of these amazing adaptations and how they make life without limbs possible. Kids’ activities include handling snake skins and junior ranger booklets. The lecture will be Saturday, at 2 p.m., at the Soledad Library, 401 Gabilan Drive, in Soledad. Details: 389-4486 ext. 267.

2.) Meditation at the Garden: The Hollister Japanese Temple Garden will host mediation at the garden, 920 Riverside Road, in Hollister, Sunday, at 1:30 p.m. For more information or for directions, call 637-6361.

3.) T’ai Chi demo at market: Elaine Frey will host a T’ai Chi demonstration at the downtown Hollister Farmers Market, in front of the Briggs Building, on Fourth and San Benito streets, Wednesday, with demonstrations from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Visitors can learn about the exercise and asks questions about it with Frey.

4.) Creedence Relived performs: 9Lives, 7430 Monterey St., in Gilroy, Friday, at 8 p.m. will host Creedence Relived. Tickets are $15 for the 21 and up concert. Details: www.9livesclub.com.

5.) Balers take the field: The first San Benito High School football fame of the season is set to take place in Andy Hardin Stadium Friday at 7:30 p.m. The varsity team will compete against Pioneer High School, from San Jose.
