What has San Benito County come to?
Yes it’s me again, Susan Martin-Postigo, trying to understand
why Purple Cross located at 1980 Bolsa Rd. is still open for
business without the proper permits to do so.
Why the planning commission, why our local law enforcement, why
our supervisors and most importantly why our legal system is
allowing this operation? The Purple Cross Medicinal Marijuana
clinic opened the beginning of this year, without proper building
permits, zoning requirements, impact study requirements and so
forth.
It is absolutely amazing to me that our county deferred a
casino, deferred a senior housing project and yet is standing by
and allowing a business of this nature to still conduct business. I
have been informed that the county is currently working on this.
HOW LONG DOES THIS PROCESS TAKE?
We are allowing someone to enter into business knowingly the
violations and basically laughing at our county offices (ha, ha I
won). What has the county come to?
I would urge anyone opposed to these operations to contact the
county and or the supervisor. Maybe then we will see some progress
on this issue.

Rodeo queen offers thanks for support
For the past year I have had the honor of representing the California High School Rodeo Association (CHSRA) as the District 4 queen.
What an exciting time it has been for me! I have met people and have gotten to do more than I could have imagined. So I would like to thank everyone who has helped made it possible. First, I would like to thank my parents George and Monica Ford for always being there for me and pushing me to do my best, I would also like to thank Becky Ford for hauling my horses and helping me with everything.
Thank you to Hollister Auto Parts (Steve Huston), Mark and Linda Robinson, Brittany Slaton, Tractor Supply (Rob Christopher), Earthbound Farm (Wendy Taylor), Andy Holcomb, Bella Charm (Lynn Schaffer), Frankie Arballo, Pietra Santa Winery, Bill Martenie, Larry Sonsickson, Safeway (Ramona Martinez), Shannon Renz, Sally Silva, Laura Naccaratto, and Lisa Wright.
And thank you to all the parents who helped out at our rodeos. Last I would like to wish everyone who made it to state finals, good luck and ride hard! See you all there and thanks again to everyone!
