Despite taking an early one-run lead, the Anzar Hawks could not hold off host Watsonville last Thursday as the Wildcatz scored nine unanswered runs en route to a 9-1 victory in non-league action.

The Hawks have lost two straight and fall to 2-3 overall as a result. Anzar will open Coastal Athletic League play on Wednesday at home to Anchorpoint Christian at 3:30 p.m.

Details of last Thursday’s game were not reported.
