A 2000 Lincoln Town Car flipped and rolled in a single-car crash on Highway 25 at 12:41 a.m. Tuesday, causing major injuries to the driver.

Driver Jagindar Garwal, 51, of Hollister, lost control of the car going north on Highway 25 just south of Hunder Lane. He drove the car off the road, flipping it and tumbling multiple times. He was alone in the vehicle.

Garwal broke both of his arms, some ribs and possibly his neck, California Highway Patrol spokesman Jaime Rios said. He suffered internal bleeding and lacerations on his face.

Officers have not been able to speak with Garwal because he was in and out of consciousness, Rios said.

Garwal was not wearing his seatbelt, and when medics arrived on scene, they found him in the backseat of the car. The CHP does not believe the accident is alcohol related.

Garwal was flown to Regional Medical Center of San Jose and his condition is expected to improve, Rios said.
