Theft from a dependent adult, First Street
At 9 a.m. on Wednesday, it was reported that a caregiver had taken less than $100 from a dependent victim in the 200 block of First Street. The case is still under investigation.
Prohibited from possessing a firearm, San Felipe Road
At 8 a.m. on Tuesday, an officer observed a male suspect shooting a gun within city limits in the 2600 block of San Felipe Road. Not only is it illegal to fire a gun within city limits but the suspect was also prohibited from even having a gun. The case was forwarded to the San Benito County District Attorney’s Office.
Possession of marijuana while driving, Seventh Street
At 1 p.m. on Monday, a suspect was stopped for a vehicle code violation near the intersection of Seventh Street and East Street. The officer smelled marijuana coming from the car, searched it and found some bags that appeared to have marijuana in them. The suspect was cited and released.
Possession of marijuana, Tina Drive
At 5 p.m. on Monday, an officer stopped a vehicle for a vehicle code violation in the 300 block of Tina Drive. After the officer spoke with the people inside the vehicle, they got out of the car. As one of the passengers was doing that, he dropped a bag of marijuana. He was cited and released.
Minor in possession of smoking paraphernalia, Black Forest Drive
At 8 p.m. on Monday, several juveniles were stopped on their bikes by police in connection with a possible theft near the intersection of Black Forest Drive and Verdun Avenue. After talking with the juveniles, police found one of them had cigarettes. He was cited and released.
