Possession of a controlled substance, Sally Street

At 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to the 300 block of Sally Street on an unrelated call. While walking toward the location of the other call, one of five subjects standing near that location threw something on the ground. An officer noticed this and talked with the subjects. The officer later determined the 37-year-old Hollister man had thrown a bindle of cocaine on the ground. He was arrested and booked into the county jail.

CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS

Indecent exposure, Santa Ana Road

At 2 p.m. on Monday, police received a complaint of a man sitting in his vehicle exposing his genitalia in the parking lot of Gavilan Hills School in Santa Ana Road. Police talked with the reporting party again and the party was unwilling to press charges.

Unreasonable noise, Tina Drive

At 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, police were called to a residence in the 400 block of Tina Drive on a report of a barking dog. Police said the department has had prior calls to the same address for the same complaint.

Identity theft, Airline Highway

On Wednesday, police received a report of a stolen identity at Monterey Credit Union in the 1700 block of Airline Highway. On June 1, suspects entered the bank and used someone else’s identity to secure a loan. No suspect information was available.

Exhibit a deadly weapon, Fourth Street

At 6 p.m. on Thursday, a suspect was digging in a Dumpster behind a business in the 800 block of Fourth Street. An employee called the police and told the suspect to leave. The suspect then brandished a knife, then left on a small bike. Police were unable to find the suspect.
