Happy Holidays from South San Benito County
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all have a very merry
Christmas with your family and your friends.
Many holiday celebrations have been taking place in South
County. Bitterwater Tully School and Jefferson School each had
their Christmas programs Dec. 16. Jefferson students hosted a
musical performance that the kids participated in. Former teacher’s
aide and South County resident, Crystol McFarland, and her family,
came all the way from Paso Robles to take in the performance which
she said was really good. Bitterwater students sang lots of
Christmas carols (which in this day and age is almost unheard of
anymore), followed by a delicious pot luck and a visit from
Santa.

Vern and Jo Ann Scattini hosted their annual Christmas party at the Bitterwater Country Club last Friday night.
Some of those enjoying the evening and the white elephant gift exchange included: John Brewen and Lou Harbin, Jeff and Jean Schmidt, Jeff and Shari Popnoe, Donna Hansen, Wyatt and Lacey Bourdet, John Rianda, The Sabin Family, Hec and Kasey Hurley, Andy and Tamra Barrington and J.W. and Candace Brewen, just to name a few.
Dean and Nikki Bell hosted a kids only branding at their home last Saturday. Some of those kids roping included: Dawson and Lilla Bell, Cash Robinson, Garrett and Tucker Bourdet, Brody Sans, Bailee Nelson and Wacey Barrington. After, the kids had a ball playing and the adults had a good time eating and visiting.
George and Sandy Rose branded their bunch of calves last Sunday at their home. Helping them out included Vern and Jo Ann Scattini, Todd, Buddy, Brody and me. George barbecued a delicious steak for us when we were through.
Bill and Robin Rist held their annual Christmas Celebration at Tully Hall last Sunday night. Richard Casey and Randy Handle provided the musical entertainment and after the service there was a huge array of Christmas goodies for one to graze on. Bill had a great turnout for his service.
