Senator Jeff Denham, R-Merced, was given an award this past Sunday from the California State Sheriffs’ Association for being an “Outstanding Senator for 2007.”

“Senator Denham has a long-standing history of support for public safety and good public policy,” said San Benito County Sheriff Curtis Hill in a press release.

This is the third such award CSSA has given Denham for his legislative work on behalf of law enforcement, according to the press release.

“Senator Denham is an outstanding public safety advocate, consistently fighting hard to protect critical funding for law enforcement across California,” said Monterey County Sheriff Mike Kanalakis in the release.
