Now playing at the Granada
Based on the classic ’80s movie, “Footloose” tells the story of Ren McCormack, played by Danny Carero, a city kid whose family moves from Chicago to a small town in the Midwest where dancing and rock music are illegal. The town’s zealous minister, Reverend Shaw Moore has made it his mission to protect the town’s youth from the evils of dancing and rock. Ren finds camaraderie and romance with Ariel Moore, played by Angela Hernandez, the reverend’s rebellious daughter. With the prom approaching, the graduating class, led by Ren, decide they want the ordinance overturned. “Footloose” will be playing at the Granada Theater May 2, 3, 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m., and May 4 and 11 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $13 for seniors and children. Tickets are available at PostNet or online at www.sanbenitostage.org.
