Mission (partly) accomplished
Day 130
We first wrote about Veteran’s Memorial Park in public works
back in December 2007. We noticed a torn fence around the skate
park, and that the skaters and cyclists were riding over
graffitti-laced bowls.
As we’ve said before, this park is unique in that part of it
falls under the jurisdiction of the city while part is property of
the county.
But it was city staff who took the initiative to clean off the
grafitti in the concrete bowls by powerwashing them recently.
Pinnacle staff recorded the newly cleaned bowl May 3. It’s a minor
fix, but it makes the park look and feel a little bit safer for
local kids.
While the fence is still torn and there are other areas to clean
up, it was a step in the right direction.
