R.O. Hardin, the oldest of the Hollister School District campuses, may be getting a campus makeover as soon as April 2016, according to information provided at last week’s regularly scheduled board meeting.
Trustees voted 4-0 in favor of approving a design for modernizations, according to draft minutes of the Tuesday meeting provided by Jesus Romero, the administrative assistant to the superintendent. Trustee Elsa Rodriguez was absent, according to the minutes.
The proposed modernizations will include new window systems and doors that are energy efficient; an upgraded fire alarm system; Americans with Disabilities Act approved access to facilities; new classroom flooring; and a reconfiguration of the existing administration office that improves campus security, according to the background information from the meeting’s agenda packet.
Staff tentatively scheduled the modernization project to begin April 1, 2016.
