The Hollister City Council is set to consider raises and benefit changes for mid-management, confidential and executive management employees at tonight’s special meeting. These three groups of employees do not bargain with the city and usually receive the same increases as other union employees.
With adoption of the increases, the groups would receive a 10 percent raise over the next three years. Percentage wise, their pay would be increased by 4 percent this year, 4 percent next year and 2 percent in 2010.
Also included will be an adjustment to the retirement policy, but it will have no impact on the city budget, a report reads.
The council tonight also will consider the removal of Parks Commissioner Don Kelley, whom the mayor contends has a conflict of interest because he also serves on the county parks commission.
