Vehicle theft, Lebaig Drive

Victims reported to police at midnight on Wednesday that unknown suspects had entered their residence while they slept and stole their car from the garage. The matter remains under investigation.

Arson, San Benito Street

At 10:48 p.m. Tuesday, Hollister police officers responded to a structure fire at 1105 San Benito Street. Police indicate that the fire appeared to be intentionally set with the aid of an unknown accelerant.

Vehicle Burglary, East and Sally Streets

Hollister police took a report at 1 a.m. Tuesday that unknown suspects smashed the window of a work van and took several tools from the vehicle parked at the corner of East and Sally Streets.

Vandalism, Miller Road

According to police reports, a small rear window of an automobile was broken at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday. Nothing was taken from the vehicle, and there is no suspect information.

ARRESTS

Shoplifting, Tres Pinos Road

Police took a 20-year-old Hollister man from the custody of Kmart security and arrested him at 6:24 p.m. Thursday. The man was suspected of shoplifting and was showing signs of intoxication. He was booked into the county jail.
