Hit and Run:
n Batazar Santoyo Alvarez, 41, of Hollister, was arrested by police for misdemeanor driving without a license, misdemeanor reckless driving and a felony hit and run resulting in an injury after he allegedly hit a woman driving a silver Mazda coupe with his Ford Explorer in the intersection of San Benito Street and Seventh Street just before noon on Monday, police said. Police arrested Alvarez at Nash Street and Line Street, police said. The driver of the other vehicle complained of pain and had minor cuts, police said.
Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance:
n Arturo Sanchez Radillo, 28, of Gilroy, was arrested by police for misdemeanor possession of a methamphetamine pipe and misdemeanor being under the influence of a stimulant at 4:02am Tuesday in Hollister, police said. Police responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle in the 500 block of B Street when they found Radillo, police said.
Driving Under the Influence:
n Jose Luis Rodriguez, 28, of Hollister, was arrested by police for misdemeanor driving under the influence and misdemeanor driving without a license in the 100 block of South Street at 7:46pm on Tuesday, police said. Police stopped Rodriguez for a traffic violation, police said.
All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
