Editor,

Apropos of Wednesday’s editorial about getting beyond the turmoil of various failed recall campaigns, I suggest that the leaders of the recall effort against District Attorney John Sarsfield clean up their act and remove their derogatory campaign materials from the windows of their campaign headquarters on San Benito Street.

The recall campaign ended about a month ago with the recall proponents failing to submit enough valid signatures. OK, guys, you had your shot, fair and square, and, for whatever reasons, you failed. The campaign is over; it’s well past time to take down your posters and banners and clean up that eyesore across the street from the Vault.
