Dear Editor,
I read about a forum regarding Indian gaming with visiting supervisors who will answer questions and discuss and “educate the public and elected officials about Indian gaming”.
The public is invited to speak about the pros and cons of Indian casinos.
“Great,” I thought. “We can ask questions and discuss concerns and issues at Veterans Memorial Hall, with room for hundreds of concerned residents”. But it’s in the middle of the day, at 1:30 pm, in the middle of the week, when most people are at work!
For whose convenience or benefit is this meeting on October 21? Is it for the community it will affect or the investors who will benefit the most?
Am I the only one who is outraged by whomever was thoughtless enough to leave us out of one of the most important meetings so far about the controversial casino which may come to our community? We need to be heard when we are available!
