Regarding emergency sirens and barking dogs. Anyone who lives
here in Hollister knows that they are a problem. But that is not a
criticism of the firefighters and police officers who use them. I
know they are doing their job and doing it well. It’s just that if
we can land a man on the moon, why can’t we design or build a siren
that doesn’t set off every dog in town?
But like I said, this isn’t any sort of criticism of law
enforcement and firefighter personnel. I think the ridiculous
anonymous attacks against them lately are undeserved and unfair.
It’s obvious that the few loud-mouthed malcontents running down our
sheriff and his deputies, as well as our DA and his deputies are
just bitter because they are no longer in control of county law
enforcement (thank God!).

“Listen up city folk. County Supervisor Scagliotti needs our help. He is paying a high price for attempting to slow the growth down. He is being attacked by pro-growth (irresponsible) developers. We can’t even service the subdivisions we have now and the greedies want to build more. Who is going to take care of the developments; the laid off city employees? We don’t need these huge subdivisions overburdening our infrastructure further.
The attack on Richard is why so many qualified residents don’t run for office because they have to put up with crap like this. It’s slanderous and should not be tolerated and when we find out who you are I am also joining the boycott line. Keep having your anti-initiative meetings but we will take care of you in the ballot box. Farmers are supposed to grow food not houses and if you want to grow houses then you are not a farmer so stop pretending you are.
Voters, if you want to help yourself, help Richard and the other three supervisors control the growth. Send a message in March 04; stop the bedroom community. No jobs; no houses that’s my motto and it should be yours also.”
“‘Los Valientes’ should be renamed ‘Los Vigilantes.’ These are the folks who in the dead of night wearing flour sacks over their heads hung innocent people for alleged wrongdoing.
‘Los Vigilantes’ is the appropriate name for this crew. Los Valientes is far too noble a name for this cowardly crowd of crab crawling carpetbaggers. Hint: Now that the rock has been lifted up, don’t hold your breath waiting for the names of these Vigilantes to be released to the general public.”
“I would like to comment on the siren issue and the local dogs reaction to it. Every other dog in the neighborhood howls at the current sirens. Could we not change to a siren with a lower frequency to have less of a negative impact on dogs? We need to think about animals and the impact we have on them.
This is all a part of the ‘Agency21’ Conspiracy to harm peoples animals.
It is time for local government to stand up to this outrage!”
