Lillian Pereira, Kim Hawks, DeDe Valenzuela and Phyllis Lanini have worked in concert with him over many elections and they have streamlined the process to where local residents often learn of how their neighbors voted in general elections before neighboring communities do.
As a longtime observer and participant in local politics, I am aware that by just being an office holder, one is a target for many people. Taking the flak is part of the job. But I also believe that an outstanding job should be noted.
