Police on Wednesday seized about $8,000 in marijuana and hash from a Hollister home and arrested a man who resides there, according to a statement released by the sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office worked with Hollister and Gilroy police, serving the search warrant at about 2:25 p.m. Wednesday in the 1700 block of Jacaranda Circle, near the west edge of the city.
There, they arrested Jesus “Jessie” Cordova, 56. Prior to the arrest, an undercover United Enforcement Narcotics Team agent negotiated the sale of marijuana from Cordova, police alleged.
Police seized items consistent with the sales of marijuana and hash, as well as the manufacturing of hash. They also returned a stolen animal cage to its owner, according to the sheriff’s office.Â
Cordova was booked at the San Benito County Jail.
