Authorities identified the victim in Saturday night’s fatal accident on Highway 25 as 17-year-old Giovanni Fidel Gonzalez of Hollister.
The fatality involving the motorcycle was reported at 7:45 p.m. Saturday between Flynn Road and Highway 156 along the rural commuter highway near Hollister.
The Hollister Fire Department confirmed the fatality victim was riding a motorcycle and that another vehicle caught fire in the incident. Two people were transported to a hospital as well.
A spokesman with the California Highway Patrol could not be reached Monday morning to confirm further details. The CHP generally has jurisdiction over accidents on Highway 25.
