From my recollection of steam studies in college, the cannery
(San Benito Foods) steam discharge noise could be eliminated by
condensing the steam to water prior to discharge.

The cost to do this may be prohibitive, but it’s worthy of consideration.
Condensing steam to water can also produce a vacuum up stream which may be an additional benefit.
