The San Benito County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau is holding its second Speed Campaign event before the June primary election.

The event is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ridgemark Golf & Country Club, 3800 Airline Highway.

The Speed Campaign gathering is akin to speed dating and involves candidates for office rotating to tables where attendees are seated. The chamber held its first Speed Campaign event during the 2010 election cycle.

At this week’s discussion, candidates appearing include those running for supervisor seats. In District 1, Mark Starritt is challenging Supervisor Margie Barrios. In District 2, Arturo Medina is challenging Supervisor Anthony Botelho. And in District 5, Sonny Flores is challenging Supervisor Jaime De La Cruz.

To make a reservation, call the chamber office at (831) 637-5315 or email [email protected].
