“Is anyone in the real world present? I am a San Benito County taxpayer. I am (along with many others) John Sarsfield’s boss. We pay his bloated salary benefit package for his entire family and P.E.R.S. retirement. To date he has earned none of it. He damn well better be at his desk at 8 a.m. sharp, with a pencil between his fingers and the last person out the door at 5 p.m. If this change isn’t implemented now, there must be a recall in November. It’s not too late.”

“Is anybody else out there as outraged as I am at the astronomical water rates we are having forced upon us?

My latest bill came yesterday, and it was over $100 dollars, and I had my sprinklers turned off for most of the month due to the rain! My husband and I only have two kids, and an average-size yard. I am not going to have any potted flowers this year, because I won’t be able to water them with the new jacked-up rates. Is our summertime bill going to be $200 dollars just to keep the yard alive?

I used to live at the beach, and I thought the water rates were high there, but Hollister’s new rates vastly eclipse those. Somebody should call for a grand jJury investigation! How was this highway robbery snuck by us? You fools can’t blame Sarsfield for this one.

The masses should revolt, and call Sunnyslope water repeatedly and complain! Then call your county supervisors and City Council persons and do the same! Stop the insanity!”

“Mr. De La Cruz is now crying he doesn’t have the options available to him that Mrs. Cruz seems to have regarding the supporting of her claim that the election was contaminated. Mr. Hodges admitted his staff accepted improper ballots in both District 1 and 5. This admission in itself must dictate a new election in November in both districts. Why Mr. Jones chased voters who have consistently made themselves aware of issues and candidate platforms and consistently voted in every election is unclear. Mr. De La Cruz, on the other hand, was exploiting uninformed uncaring persons using intimidating tactics. This is extortion on Mr. De La Cruz’s part.”
