She was born in Lone Pine, Calif., and graduated from Watsonville High School.
She was a member of San Juan Parlour Native Daughters of the Golden West, The Eagle Auxiliary of San Benito County, the Fidelity Rebekah Lodge No. 29 of Hollister, the California School Employees Association and she was an organizing member of the San Benito County Council for the Handicapped.

Her giving included beautifully decorated birthday cakes for her students as well as friends. Not known for her green thumb, all her friends received lilies at Easter and poinsettias at Christmas. When she retired, she donated time to the Native Daughters of the Golden West Parlour in San Juan Bautista as well as assisting at the I.C.F. She was a proud member of the Cal Poly Alumni Association.
She is survived by her son Arthur (Shelley) Zack of San Miguel, Calif.; grandchildren Cody and Ellie Zack of San Miguel; brother Del Zack of Watsonville; sisters Brenda Fanucci of Santa Cruz and Connie Rivas of Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
As per her wishes, arrangements have been made for private cremation and inurnment. Friends are invited to attend a memorial celebration Monday, Oct. 6 at 1 p.m. at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home.
Donations may be made to H.O.P.E. Center for the Handicapped or to the Adobe Roof Project of Native Daughters of the Golden West in care of the mortuary chapel.
