Hollister – The county Planning Commission will be looking at a revised draft of the county’s hillside development restrictions on Wednesday.

On April 4, the Board of Supervisors voted to rescind the existing ordinance, pending final approval from the Planning Commission and the board. At the time, four supervisors said the ordinance was confusing and overly restrictive.

However, according to a planning department memo, supervisors have since told county staffers they want the ordinance to be loosened and clarified, not eliminated.

The revised ordinance is up for discussion Wednesday.

The Planning Commission will meet at 6pm in the County Administration Building at 461 Fourth Street.
