Corn subsidies for Midwest show we’re wandering as a nation

Dear Editor,

I think sometimes we as a nation are wandering in the desert like Moses for 40 years.

For 40 years we have been subsidizing the corn growers in the Midwest to a tune of $18 billion to $20 billion to make corn syrup.

Years ago in Fresno we used nine gallons of gas and one gallon of not-so-sweet corn syrup. It got us around.
