An airplane prepares for takeoff Monday at the Hollister Municipal Airport, where a crash occurred Saturday.

Council members Monday approved a grant to fund a new electric vehicle at the Hollister Municipal Airport.
The airport needed an official approval after accepting a $17,107 grant from the Monterey Bay Air Pollution Control District to fund 95 percent of costs for an electric vehicle. It would replace a 2001 GMC maintenance vehicle, according to the agenda.
Council members unanimously approved the grant.
