City Hall

Hollister City Council members Monday are scheduled to weigh a contract approval to make Bill Avera the full-time city manager.
Council members in July first approved Avera, the former planning head, as interim city manager. He succeeded former City Manager Clint Quilter.
Avera is scheduled to make $165,000 annually plus benefits, according to the contract proposal. That would be an increase over Quilter’s last salary of $134,355. The deal is for three years, while he would receive six months of severance if terminated, according to the contract.
