Mickie Luna is a longtime local leader of the League of United Latin American Citizens. She has been an important mentor for several generations of young Latinos and has been at the forefront of many legal, political battles over the years.

Hollister District 2 Councilwoman Mickie Solorio Luna invites community members to an Open House at the Hollister Community Center on March 22 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to learn updates about what’s happing in west Hollister.
According to an announcement:
A brief presentation will be followed by an informal open house with an opportunity to meet and ask questions about the following topics: Recent and planned park improvements; winner of the West Gateway Design competition; renaming San Juan Road to Fourth Street; approved and proposed development in West Hollister. Councilmember Luna is also inviting the public to participate in an interactive survey for all ages about traffic, bicycle and pedestrian safety issues in West Hollister. Spanish language translation services will be provided at the Open House.
