Who believes candidate Jamie De La Cruz and his campaign
manager, Ignacio Velazquez, were unaware of election laws after
both ran for elected office in prior elections?
Dear Editor,
Who believes candidate Jamie De La Cruz and his campaign manager, Ignacio Velazquez, were unaware of election laws after both ran for elected office in prior elections?
Of course, right away, De La Cruz cries racism. I’ve had differences with Ruth Kessler, but in no way believe she is a racist. At 80-some years old, anyone as young as I (64) or Jamie, would be referred to as boys.
Only in America can a person alleged of committing a felony sue. And to think, De La Cruz is suing the board he wants to sit on.
However, the bottom line is who would want Jamie De La Cruz or Ignacio Velazquez to represent them when they claim they don’t even know fundamental election laws. What is even worse, De La Cruz implies he didn’t know a Latino sits on the board of supervisors. It had always been my understanding that County Supervisor Bob Cruz is Hispanic.
So, haven’t we had enough of Velazquez, De La Cruz, Pekin and their Los Valientes (the brave ones) tearing apart the ethical and moral fabric of our fine county?
Hopefully the law will prevail and those like Jamie De La Cruz and associates who knowingly and openly violated election laws to win an election find themselves paying the penalty.
