Congressman Sam Farr on Tuesday will be joined by local officials in announcing a grant award to make repairs at the Hollister Municipal Airport, according to a statement from Farr’s office.
Farr, D-Carmel, has scheduled the announcement for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the airport. The grant is coming from the Federal Aviation Administration, though no further details were provided in the announcement.
The “project improvement” grant will be for runway repairs, according to the announcement.
Others joining Farr will include Mayor Ignacio Velazquez, Airport Director Mike Chambless and Robin Hunt from the FAA.
