assemblywoman
With endorsements from Hollister Mayor Doug Emerson and Assemblywoman Anna Caballero, D-Salinas, a company promoting a plan to help struggling homeowners by refinancing many loans together into one package will hold a forum Thursday for interested residents.

The Homeowners Rescue Alliance, a for-profit Bay Area company, is set to inform residents on its plan to organize one refinancing package for many homes in an attempt to make for the most idea restructured financing. The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Building, and there will be a light dinner served as well.

Emerson said participants ultimately would carry no additional costs because the Homeowners Rescue Alliance makes its money by negotiating their take into deals with financial institutions.

Both Emerson and Caballero have supported the firm’s proposal and the mayor has encouraged local residents to take part.
