Frank Ramirez Sanchez died suddenly Thursday, May 1, 2003 at Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area. He was 67.

Mr. Sanchez was born in Yuma, Ariz. and had lived in Hollister for eight years. He was an auto mechanic for 40 years, all but a very short time at Raines Chevrolet in Sunnyvale. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and an active member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and the American Motorcycle Association since 1957. He was an avid rider of off-road vehicles and also enjoyed playing golf and camping.

He is survived by his spouse, Cruz Sanchez of Hollister; his children, Frank R. Sanchez Jr. and Jose Sanchez, both of Mountain View, Jimmy Sanchez of Salida, Silvia Campbell of Manteca, Olivia Rivera of San Jose and Rufino Garcia Sanchez, Ofelia Garcia Sanchez and Margarita Garcia Sanchez, all of Mexico; seven brothers, three sisters, 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held today at 5 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2410 Fallon Road. Arrangements for cremation have been made by Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home and Crematory. Private inurnment will follow.
