The Hollister American 9-10-year-old All-Star team defeated Ferrasci 8-2 Thursday night in Salinas. The Americans will play Hollister National in the championship game tonight at 5:30pm at Salinas American Field.

With one loss already, Hollister American will have to win twice to win the District 9 title.

Hollister fell behind after Ferrasci scored single runs in the second and third inning. But Hollister answered with two runs in the fourth. Josh George had a base hit, Daniel Gonzales had a triple and Cody Cameron also tripled.

The Americans scored five runs in the fifth. Robert Soto had a double. Christopher Cook had a base hit. Dylan Yamasaki had a walk. Tony Diaz tripled an George had a base hit. Conner Fabing drove in the final run in the sixth inning.

Jordon Lopez pitched the first five inning. He gave up three hits and one earned run and had six strikeouts. Yamasaki closed it off.
