The city activated this crosswalk at the corner of Fourth Street and Monterey Street in 2014.

The Hollister City Council on Monday unanimously agreed to change the name of San Juan Hollister Road to Fourth Street.
Council members and other officials cited the need for traffic continuity and to prevent confusion. The stretch is on the west side entering the city’s borders before business-heavy Fourth Street.
City planning official Mary Paxton pointed out how business owners had complained that the street names can cause confusion when people are trying to find them.
