Hollister City Council members Monday are set to hear the latest on the county water district’s initiative to delivery recycled water for certain uses.
The discussion, especially relevant with California’s long-running drought, is set for 6 p.m. Monday at Hollister City Hall, 375 Fifth St.
Jeff Cattaneo, executive director of the San Benito County Water District, will make the presentation to council members about the recycled water program. Officials are developing the use of recycled water for irrigation—which is expected to expand in the coming years.
Currently, the district uses recycled water to irrigate Brigantino Park on the city’s west side and areas near the Hollister Municipal Airport.
